In short, the MBR is a very important sector which is located on the hard disk and responsible for booting into Windows, if it's damaged for any reason you won't be able to boot into Windows. BIOS settings are never the same for different systems and device manufacturers. When you next boot to BIOS, you will see UEFI BIOS.
If the system boots, then it could be that your graphics card was the problem. Uninstall your graphics card and then plug your display into the motherboard's display output.
